Casa de Maru a house for up to 6 in Grazalema

Grazalema is a small town in the Cadiz province, near Ronda in Southern Andalucia. Located in a high valley over 800m in the Sierra del Endrinal and dominated by the magnificent rocky outcrop known as Peņon Grande, this pretty mountain village is a popular base for visitors to the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. The park is a vast protected area of rugged limestone mountains, famous for the verdant vegetation in the surrounding countryside. Grazalema's steep, cobbled streets are immaculately kept and are lined by whitewashed houses with windows covered by wrought-iron rejas and plant pots spilling over with colourful flowers.

Casa de Maru is situated near the top of the village behind the church of San Jose, in a narrow street near the local bakers.

A very traditional Spanish house and a great deal larger than it looks from the outside, as it goes back a very long way.

Accommodation

As with every traditional Spanish house, it has a double bedroom on the ground floor. A long hallway goes from the front door right through the house to the back wall and all the rooms and areas on this floor are set off this hallway to both sides.

A small typically Spanish kitchen area is to the left, with the shower room at the end of the passage to one side and the lounge/diner area with open fireplace to the other side.

A spiral staircase leads up to a roof terrace where there are glimpses of the surrounding mountains over the rooftops. The second double bedroom is also here next to the roof terrace.

An ordinary staircase leads up from the hallway near the front door to another good sized room with twin beds and a sitting area.
